Rope Making 101

Have you ever wondered about making your own rope? Some folks make rope for economic reasons, and some folks do it because they are crafty - kinky crafty apparently! Some do it just to prove to themselves they can do it. Some people like knowing that they have given “birth” to the item they will be using for kinky play.

There are plenty of reasons to learn to make rope and get into this twisted hobby! If you are interested, we’ll be doing a demonstration and teaching you a basic method too. This method uses simple and inexpensive store bought items to make suitable bondage rope.

It will probably be best to pair (or thruple?) up to help each other out for the first rope or two. Instructor will demonstrate basic rope making used in this class, then the students will group up and make their own ropes.

Instructor will bring supplies and hardware. Students are recommended to bring a freshly charged battery powered drill for making their own rope - if you don’t have one, there should be ones there to borrow.

Later there will also be a demonstration of rope making with a rope machine for those interested in more advanced approaches.
